The Rev. Christopher Craun

The Rev. Christopher Craun has served as the rector of Rector of  St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church in Portland, OR, since the Fall of 2009. During her ministry there she is most proud of the process the church went through to become an Immigrant Welcoming Congregation and the declaration made to be a Sanctuary church in 2015. A third of the congregation is Latin@ and Chris has taken multiple opportunities to advance her Spanish language skills and ability to pastor in a bilingual, bicultural church. After completing the College for Congregational Development in 2016, she was energized to launch a journey with her congregation to listen for what God’s wildest dream is for St. Michael’s and enjoys sharing this passion with other communities. Chris was ordained to the priesthood in 2006 out of the Diocese of California, served as an Associate Rector in West Hartford, CT for three years, and now resides in Portland, OR.
